Nike Zoom Lanang ST

I've always been a fan of Nike Zoom and became an avid follower even more when I discovered this new design called Nike Zoom Lanang St. From the very looks of each pair, you could just imagine how breathable this Nike Zoom could be. If you're into steeple running like I am you can easily appreciate how these shoes work. Its forefoot perforations allow water to drain out thus eliminating water retention. Actually, I bought two pairs, I use one for the closed track steeple running and another for the open steeple chase since the 6 spikes underneath makes it easy for me to manage those hilly terrains. A pair of this Nike Zoom is the best in lightweight foot gear any steeplechase runner could wear.

I don't know just what the word Lanang means, but from what I've gathered from some Malay passages I've encountered, it has something to do with either strength or health. Anyway, either of the two words have some relevance on how this Nike Zoom can be described.

Steeplechase/Steeple Running and the Nike Zoom Lanang ST :

If you'll ask me about steeplechase running, now there's a chock full of that I could write about. For those who are not too familiar with what steeplechase or steeple running is, it's a form of running that's not as popular as marathon running but others will easily recognize what it is if I used cross country running instead. However, you can do this inside a close track and not call it cross country for obvious reasons, but it sort of simulates cross country running inside a closed track since you'll be doing some hurdles and a water jump. So there, you could probably imagine why lightweight mesh materials and forefoot perforations could be the best thing that ever happened to Nike Zoom as far as cross country runners like me are concerned.

I like cross country running better since it brings me outdoors and a lot more challenges to hurdle, typical of the traditional steeplechase races. I've watched videos about Kenyans and how they do their training since they're quite a successful batch of steeplechase runners. Not to mention that they don't even have the luxury of wearing a pair of this Nike Zoom.

Kenyans make their hard runs on hilly terrains which might explain why they have this considerable strength and stamina to handle steeple races with great ease. That's the kind of training I'm getting into now, not just an uphill climb but something that's rough and rugged as the terrain could be. I'm quite confident about it since the Nike Zoom and the six spikes underneath clings to the ground with hardly any strain or effort applied by my ankles, legs and knees. Now I can manage to go seven times continuously running up and down the most severe hill I could find.

Although the downhill ride could be tricky, this Nike Zoom gives me the greater advantage of affording me the recovery I needed so I'll be just as ready as I am to make the next uphill climb. I liked the idea of barefoot running and all but that would be too much since the rough and loose gravel would bite into my soles. The good old cross country training sneakers I was using before were not as bad either, but then I was selective with the kind of hill I was to climb.

I wonder, why no one ever thought of this kind of design before. It's a good thing that this Nike Zoom Lanang ST arrived before I became too old for cross country or steeplechase running.
