Nike Shox Turbo VII

Nike Shox Turbo VII running shoes made of synthetic leather accentuated by durable mesh and synthetic accents, with equally appealing columns that provide its Nike Shox Technology.

At a price of $84.99, I invested in this Nike Shox Turbo VII, because I have no intention of buying the wrong running shoes that can enhance my running performance in utmost comfort and style. In fact, nobody goes wrong with a Nike; because you are sure the technology was designed basically for comfort and performance.

Initially, I was partial about the metallic accents, especially silver. For my age, it is a bit youngish looking because I would have preferred white on white or black on black but I must say the metallic accent does have its appeal, hence this pair won me over as far as style is concerned.

I like it that it has enough room for foot width; hence it provided my feet with true fit in terms of shoe size.

Nike Shox Turbo VII Cushioning Comfort

Before I decided on finally ordering my Nike Shox Turbo, I did a research on the kind of cushioning technology used to provide the comfort that was first and foremost in my considerations. Running without perfect cushion support can be a real strain not only on your feet but also on your calf. The fact that EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) forms part of its cushioning technology in the midsole, to provide forefoot comfort was a good enough indication for me. This compound was injected to provide midsole support without adding much weight to the foot gear. Actually, I do not have problems with pronation since I do not have arched feet or neither am I flatfooted. Hence, its form and cushioning is just right for neutrals like me.

What is really impressive is its Shox technology. These are the small columns that you see and are placed in a square formation to provide maximum midsole cushioning upon weight impact. Instead of pressing down hard on simple cushioning against the ground, the columns absorb much of the impact and tend to give you a spring back effect.

Imagine your feet springing back once it hits the ground because of the Nike Shox technology, naturally your next heel stride becomes easier.

It automatically lifts your feet from ground position. It is really very simple, instead of having to exert effort from my heel for the next foot stride, the impact of the down stride bears down on the rubber column and it will be converted as potential energy that will spring my foot back for the succeeding stride.

According to my research, the Shox technology makes use of polyurethane, to make the hollow foam columns, hence its ability to absorb the shock and with enough resilience to spring back into form and create a slight boosting effect. The way these columns are distributed into square formation is also a way of distributing its shock absorption ability.

Running with Nike Shox technology makes striding easy and running literally becomes a breeze.

If you think all that foam and cushion would turn my feet all wrinkled and soggy after running, you can think again. The mesh factor in its outer design as well as in its inner lining provides cool comfort and breathability. Where other shoes would leave my feet looking pale and looking tired, they still come out of the Nike Shox Turbo VII still fresh and looking energized from the whole running process.

I knew I could find great satisfaction in investing in a pair of running shoes that carries a reliable name as Nike. It took them 16 years to finalize the Nike Shox technology and many more years in between to improve its spring back capability. So there is no reason for even a shadow of a doubt for my Nike Shox Turbo VII running shoes, not to turn out as excellent as it is.
