Asics Women Gel-2130 Trail

I bought this Asics Women Gel-2130 Trail to replace my worn out Asics running shoes 2120. I loved that pair of shoes, or I should say I love Asics running shoes so much I cannot think of any other replacement except for another Asics. I love the color, because it is kind of different. Taupe and cherry combination, cool, huh? The actual color is much nicer because it is slightly darker than the one in the photo. The 2120 before was more of a brown color and I am glad they made a color variation but in almost the same tone.

My feet found good fit in this Asics Women Gel-2130 Trail because I have a narrow feet structure that tend to widen at the forefoot and toes. I like it that the toe box has a mesh over it making it softer and much cooler. In fact the shoes are basically mesh and synthetic leather that is why it is altogether comfortable and airy.

Asics Women Gel-2130 Trail running shoes allow my feet to move naturally, I am not sure which of the shoe features make that possible. Probably the great fit at the ankles makes it possible or the soft cushion perhaps.

Since I mentioned the cushion, the Asics manufacturers really provide the shoe structure with enough pads to cover 3-5 mile run over rocks, roots, and gravel. I am surprised that I seem to feel the ground but I do not feel jarred every time I land on each stride.

In fact, there is no toe curling or foot gripping involved but only natural heel strike and bounce back movement.

The midsole support I get does not put any strain on my heels, so I still feel I could do some more running. This Asics Women Gel-2130 Trail got all its technology running from the Duo Max, to the EVA sock liner and the EVA gel inserts at the midsole. I get a lot of fun poking those gel inserts, and I often wondered how much one should weigh before those gel inserts get distressed.

Although the outsoles provide stability and good traction, I do not think it will out perform the Asics 2120. Since I run almost four times a week, I think these outsoles will not last long on me without it losing some evenness around the heel area.

Just the same, for its price and for the tough and rough kind of running it gets, these Asics Women Gel-2130 Trail running shoes are highly recommended.
